Amber Benson appeared as Margaret, best friend to Fairuza Balk in Imaginary Crimes, 1994, with Harvey Keitel and Elisabeth Moss. Her character's name in King of the Hill was Ella, just for the record. In 1993-1995, she appeared in the TV movies Jack Reed: Badge of Honor, Jack Reed: A Search for Justice, and Jack Reed: One Of Our Own. She had various scenes in the 1998 movie Can't Hardly Wait as Stephanie, which were cut before the film was released, and also in 1998 appeared in the movie Deadtime as Patty. Benson can currently be seen regularly appearing on the WB's Buffy the Vampire Slayer starring Sarah Michelle Gellar as Tara, Willow (Alyson Hannigan)'s girlfriend.

Born and reared in Birmingham, Alabama, Amber studied voice, acting and dance and appeared in numerous community theatre productions.

She made her motion picture debut in Steven Soderbergh's much-praised King of the Hill, portraying the shy epileptic neighbor, and then appeared in The Crush, as Alicia Silverstone's sexy and daring buddy Cheyenne.
