An English soccer club, Portsmouth FC was founded in 1898. They represent the city of Portsmouth in southern England and they play in the English Premier League. They won the English top flight in 1949 and 1950 and won the FA Cup in 1939. Their fiercest rivals are Southampton and Plymouth Argyle.
