A Jamaican sprinter, Veronica Campbell-Brown represented her country at the 2004 and 2008 Summer Olympic Games. She won the gold medal in the 200m in 2004 and 2008, and won the gold as part of the 4x100 relay team in 2004.
Athletics will, as is customary, be the largest group to represent The Bahamas at the 1st Caribbean Games scheduled for Trinidad and Tobago in July of next year.
